I painted this on the first day of the July 1996 three-day OCTDP seminar featuring Charles Johnson. Charles is one of my favorite teachers. We painted 3 different projects in this seminar, and he put us at ease with his funny stories and easy-going manner. He also teaches in a way that helps students finish their pieces in class. I’ve had the pleasure of taking from him a number of times and he has always been great.
