I took this seminar at the Painting Goose in Temecula, California on May 1, 2004. This was the second picture I painted during the two days I was able to attend.
Brenda was a delight, and I hope to attend another one of her seminars again soon.
The picture doesn’t have a mat, but I wanted to make it appear as if there is one. I
base coated the outer areas of the canvas with Delta’s Blueberry. When that was dry, I used a metallic gold Zig “Painty” to do the lines. Even though the “Painty” is oil-based, I
had no problem varnishing on top of the gold. I just waited a day or so before doing so.
